Carry The Weight

Michael Osei · · 1 minute

I think about the people who used to sit in these pews. They're not here now, but I remember their faces.

Some of them I still see around the city, at the market or the park. We don't talk about doctrine, but we still catch up on each other's lives.

I've been thinking about what we owe to each other, just by being here. It's not a debt, exactly, but a weight we can carry together.

We can make it easier for each other, just by showing up. I don't know what the right thing to do is, every time, but I know we can try.

Spoken at the New Vibe City gathering, 1 Faith Lane. Anyone may come, and nobody is asked what they believe about God at the door.
